LLCT and OLCT 2005
The Lyme Land Conservation Trust, Inc. and
the Old Lyme Conservation Trust, Inc. are jointly sponsoring a photo
contest for pictures taken in our towns!
The contest is open to amateur
photographers only and will run from May 1, 2005 to January 31,
Photos can be in
color or black & white using film or digital cameras.
There is a separate youth category for those 14 years and
here for a copy of the Contest Entry Form and the
Prizes will be given for the best artistic
composition in the
following four categories in addition to the youth prizes:
Prizes will be given out in March, 2006:
$100 for first place, $50 for second place and
$25 for third place.
William Burt is a naturalist,
wildlife photographer, author of "Rare and "Elusive Birds" & "Shadowbirds",
and has written for Audubon and Smithsonian magazines.
Dr. Emily Florentino is the Curator of American Art at the
Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, CT. She received her Ph.D. from
the Department of the History of Art at Yale University. She has
lectured and is published widely in various fields of art and visual
John Mitchell is the former senior environment editor at the
National Geographic Magazine, former field editor for the Audubon
Magazine, and author of several books, his most recent being "National
Geographic: The Wildlife Photographs".
