Hoffman Property

Directions. The Hoffman property ( 23.7 acres) is reached by driving west from Laysville Center on the Boston Post Road to Sill Lane just past the Texaco Station. When you cross over the bridge, there is parking on both sides of the road. The Hoffman property is on the left (west/south) side of the road. Enter to the west by the bridge, bear to your right and keep the stone wall on your left. Avoid the field as it is not part of the OLCT property.

Trail. The trail follows the stone wall and the stream for about a half mile. The terrain is steep in places and the trail needs some clearing as dead hemlock trees have fallen across parts of the trail. The property line then turns north along a stone wall for three hundred yards where it meets a very good wood road that leads back to the starting point. Until the trail is improved along the stream, it is recommended that the well established wood road be used to hike on. The walk on this road takes less than a half hour.
